Khaled Mansur was born 1965 in Bangladesh and grew up in Toronto; he received his BFA from the University of Texas in 1990. By the time his family had immigrated to Canada in 1975, Mansur had already lived in over a dozen cities around the world including some war-torn regions. His paintings are a depiction of urban and roadside scenes considering concepts of identity and isolation. His work has been featured in New York and Toronto and included in the corporate collections of the Rockefeller Foundation, the Sloan-Kettering Cancer Centre and Alliance Capital.
